    My A Level coursework submission 2011 Dear everyone It's been long since an image has appeared on this site. The thing about installations is that it doesn't appear as good in photograph. Honest, I like it better when I'm physically at the site of my work. I've lost focus like crazy. Life isn't going as planned: study smart and hard, get awesome CAP, go on an exchange programme, graduate with an impressive portfolio, earn like a boss, account for my family's living expenses like a boss, then meet someone and form another family. Sigh. Must. Pull. Up. Socks. (3 fingers above the ankle like a good Dunmanian from the 60s) Right. I don't have much to say online nowadays. Guess it's time to go. Bye guys. There was an architecture workshop today to introduce the various machines that we might deploy in the future for our model-making purposes. You will not believe the number of saws they have. I can't wait to cut things up. The drilling sounds are extremely loud, but they have a lullaby quality - monotony- that is much too sleep-inducing for my safe handling of the machines. I really hope that I can survive on minimal sleep for at least the next few years of my life in the archi line. I mean, until I'm 70.Flag Day at NUS was fun. Thanks to my cute OG mates, of course. If only Beatrice had been around! Miss that girl. I went home with Jenn and her...our friend after all the aki stuff had ended today. I kind of felt that I was portraying an impression that was unlike my usual self, like a deja vu of the previous night when I was with her OG, but oh well. Think what they may:) I took a shirt of size xs for the first time in my life today. It's either that I'm shrinking, or that the shirt size for nus is just different. I'd rather the latter. I have to evaluate myself soon. I used to do it on this bloggie all the time, but nowadays I'm all activity-driven and less intuitive, so I don't reflect upon my actions as deeply. It makes me feel like a lesser person, really. I'm tired now though. Am going to rest. I have fallen victim to the flu. This sucks ): Monday, August 6, 2012
Today's jb trip was uneventful. Didn't manage to make my laptop purchase, but then again I'm not in a hurry so it's okay.I've had lots to muse over the trip, and was hence perpetually distracted. The fact that I'm illiterate when it comes to computers also adds to my disengagement. Thank goodness my parents were with me. 4K outing was cute and cosy. I'm in a hm mood. I'm really lost with regards to the bidding system at NUS. How do I bid for modules that I want to take? Which are the best modules to choose and how do I decide if one is better than the other?How to "plan" my timetable..? Do I do all these before bidding starts or what. omg. demand and supply forces in action right before my eyes. The horror. Hall Camp was fun because of my nice OG mates. It's a different kind of OG from O-rangers, but I like Cheesepie too! Jenn and I are roomies. Our room is dubbed The Hotel, cos it's awesome like that. I don't have much to say today. Perhaps I'd just end off by saying this: Stay focused. Oh, and I'm listening to Colbie's song. |
